What do Hilaria Baldwin, Alicia Silverstone and Scott Jurek have in common? A love for dairy-free desserts, apparently.
So Delicious Dairy Free has launched a “Celebrity Shake Off,” pitting five celebrities against against each other for a chance at $25,000 for their charity of choice. Each participant concocted a special shake recipe, and the public gets to choose the winner via voting.
Included in the competition are the aforementioned celebs, plus Laura Wright (of The First Mess) and Daniella Monet (of Nickelodeon’s Victorious). Drew Brees also has a shake recipe on the site, though he’s not competing—just helping with host duties.
As far as recipes, Silverstone created a peanut butter chocolate mash-up (reminiscent of her world-famous peanut butter cups from The Kind Diet); Baldwin, a kale, banana and blueberry variety; Jurek, a key lime pie and avocado shake; Wright, a peach raspberry crumble drink; and Monet, a sweet and sour smoothie with dates, banana, granola and more.
The charities in the running are the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (Silverstone), World Animal Protection (Wright), Bent on Learning (Baldwin), Every Mother Counts (Jurek) and the Humane Society of the United States (Monet).
Voting ends on July 3rd, and you can cast yours at SoDeliciousDairyFree.com/CelebrityShakeOff.
