When it comes to pop culture power, nobody wields influence like Queen Bey. Millions of people worship at the altar of Beyonce, so the vegan movement couldn’t ask for a more persuasive spokeswoman.
Back in 2013, Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z made headlines (as per usual) by embarking on a 21-day plant-based cleanse. While they didn’t totally transition, the experience inspired Bey to launch the 22 Days Nutrition vegan meal delivery service in conjunction with her personal trainer.
The meals are now available for order, and at $9.24 to $14.85 each, even mere mortals can afford to try it. The lineup features plant-based, GMO-free, gluten-free and soy-free edibles like sesame-cabbage lentil bowls, southern black beans and vegetables and ratatouille pasta with pesto. They come packed in a cooler (nothing frozen!) and ready to eat—because anyone as busy as Beyonce’s gotta be all about convenience.
This is all awesome news, because if anything can put veganism on the fast track, it’s a stamp of approval from Sasha Fierce.
